What is it like to be human in a psychology perspective?

From a psychological perspective, being human involves both internal and external experiences. Internally, humans have a unique subjective experience that includes emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions. This subjective experience is shaped by individual personality, previous experiences, and situational factors.

Externally, humans interact with the world around them, forming relationships and engaging in various activities. These experiences shape and are shaped by culture, social norms, and the physical environment.

Human behaviour is also heavily influenced by cognitive processes such as perception, attention, memory, and decision-making. These processes play a significant role in how individuals understand and respond to their experiences, both internally and externally.

One of the most defining characteristics of being human is the capacity for self-awareness. Humans have the ability to reflect on their own thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, and to understand their impact on the world around them. This capacity for introspection allows humans to form a sense of identity and to make deliberate choices about their actions and experiences.

In summary, being human is a complex and multifaceted experience, shaped by internal subjective experiences, external interactions, cognitive processes, and self-awareness.
