How can we learn who we really are?

How can we can learn who we really are? When we are alone, we are our true self as when we are in front of someone else, we tend to act accordingly to who we are presented with.

The process of discovering who you are and becoming your true self is often a lifelong journey of self-exploration and self-awareness. When you are alone, it can be easier to be yourself without the influence or expectations of others. However, when you are in the presence of others, it can be natural to act in a way that is socially acceptable or to present a certain image to fit in with the group.

To learn more about who you are and become your true self, consider taking the following steps:

Spend time alone: Spend time alone doing things that you enjoy or that make you feel relaxed and comfortable. This can help you better understand your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Practice self-reflection: Regularly reflect on your experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Journaling or meditation can be helpful for this.

Explore your values and beliefs: Identify what values and beliefs are important to you and determine how they influence your behaviour and decisions.

Be honest with yourself: Recognise your strengths and weaknesses and acknowledge any behaviour or habits that are not aligned with who you want to be.

Surround yourself with positive influences: Seek out relationships with people who support and encourage you to be yourself. Avoid those who bring negativity into your life.

Remember, becoming your true self is a continuous process and requires effort and patience. It's important to be kind and gentle with yourself as you navigate this journey.
