Questions asked by you...

Can someone come with me on my test?

Yes someone such as your instructor or a parent can sit inn the back of the car during your test although they can’t do anything or say anything during the test.

How long will the test last?

The test will last between 30-40 minutes.

Can you get a clean sheet.

Yes it is possible to achieve a faultless pass and is definitely something to be proud off.

What is the average pass rate for my local area.

Different test centres have slightly varied pass rates. This is due to a variety of factors. If you have not got on well at one test centre then it may be worth booking your next test somewhere different. Pass rates are available online.

Can someone be over confident?

Yes, being over confident could mean that you loose your concentration and miss signs because you think you know the roads, then when situations change it all goes wrong.

How many minors can I get?

You are allowed to up to 15 minors (small driving faults) before your test result is affected so don’t panic if you do something wrong. Don’t try and look at their mark sheet, this can distract you and create negative or misleading thoughts.

How should I prepare myself the night before my driving test

Get a good night sleep, try not to dwell on it. You need to be alert and focused when you start your test. Revising and thinking about situations the night before can increase anxiety and cause a bad nights sleep.

What is a repeated fault?

A repeated fault is a fault that you don't fix during your test. If you repeat a driving fault throughout the test it could become a serious fault and therefore the result is a fail.
