What's the time Mr Examiner?

What time will you book your test for?

Time can be crucial and certain times of the day involve varied driving conditions. Which times of the day do you feel more confident with?

Weigh up the pros and cons. Early in the day or late afternoon involve rush hour, heavy traffic, school runs and deliveries, crossings are busy and examiners tend to take alternative routes to avoid getting stuck in traffic.

Mid morning is quieter, but you will end up travelling further, shoppers are out and town centres become busy. Late after noon in winder will start to get dark so you will need to operate the dipped headlights. Early mornings tend to pose the greater risk of cancellations due to fog and ice.

If you choose an early morning slot you will also miss an opportunity for a practise and a break before your test. Have you had experience in driving in the time of day you have chosen? Do you feel comfortable driving in these conditions. At the end of the day you want to achieve your best performance.

Situations that I may face.
